Sports, play sports … it never ends, yes, it is a daily meal if you want to be healthy. For me structure, especially I have enough time to devote to the sport this time, so I opted for hiking.
The tourist office organizes all Tananarive (ORTANA) two weeks an output around Analamanga. For walkers, get some fresh air, enjoy nature, out of his everyday routine.
Everyone can take a hike, even a child of 7 or 8 years old can compete with the big ones. I admit they arrive well to beat the seniors, even if they complain a little halfway.
Antsomangy lies between the NR2 and NR3, 18 km from Tana, it bifurcates Ambohimangakely Ambohimailala to reach by bus, go down to Antsapandrano to start walking, this way, one can contemplate the Rova of Ilafy.
This part is not really too hard or easy. Just a few gentle slopes, bunds, not even a slip or the rain comes falling the day … lol … if the galley for some especially if your shoes are not suitable for that, why must put cleats.
The march lasted about three hours, more than enough for a beautiful ache for sedentary.
The history
Atop ANTSOMAGY is a museum in a traditional house that was build between the 15th and 17th century. This is a site ANDRIAMPOLOFANTSY, son of King RALAMBO. In the late 18th century and early 19th century with ANDRIANAMPOINIMERINA time, the death penalty was the punishment by decapitation. The place of execution is Antsomangy. At the last moment the executioner turned towards AMBOHIMANGA, the king’s counselors had the last word. If Hagafotsy appeared, the executioner going to the capital execution if Hagamainty appeared, it was loose and let the guilty meditate on his fate.
For some reason people have abandoned places at the same time to build a hamlet against low in the east, which was to have twenty dwelling house during the colonial period. In the current ANTSOMANGY is home RAFARASOA mother of Flavien RANAIVO, writer, family vault RASATRANABO the family home and Ravahatra and RAKETAKA, which will be renovated and converted into a museum of 15th and 19th century in memory of RASATRANABO (1840 – 1891), one of the first 12 students of British missionaries, translated the bible into Malagasy and Ravahatra martyr persecuted by the end of the reign of Ranavalona I, the first pastor of the parish Ambohitrantenaina.
Noticed that the SOMANGY is a medicinal plant tubers, whose root is healing.
I love doing the hike, can enrich my knowledge in terms of history and practice sport. Next appointment for another story and another region in two weeks
